In life, there are going to be many obstacles and moments of adversity that's just inevitable. The real measuring stick is what you do in those moments. Do you stop and let adversity consume you or do you keep moving forward and let it mold you? We believe there is only one direction to go and that is forward!

OUR Mission

Our mission is to change the world through apparel/influence. Forward Never Backwards is more than a movement... it is a way of life. We aim not only to build a brand but to build a community of peers that help each other through the journey of life. We will pay it forward through donations/events and we will change the world one person at a time!

Everyone has known at least one person that has gone through or is currently fighting breast cancer! Me personally, I’ve had two women who are very dear to me take on the fight and win! The exhausting schedule of chemotherapy and the toll it takes on the body. The fight takes a strong woman and uplifting support from their family/friends. The goal is to let these women know that they are not fighting alone. Forward Never Backwards wants to bring awareness to breast cancer and encourage all woman to get regular checkups for early detection. Forward Never Backwards will be selling merchandise to bring awareness and donating $5 from each item purchased to a cause determined later!

October 2021

In late October, I heard about a lady in Florida (Nilda Velazquez) who had just been diagnosed with breast cancer and was about to begin her fight! When we donated for mental health, we donated to a national organization(JED Foundation). We wanted to do something more personal with our breast cancer fundraiser. No one fights alone, so the Vice President of FNB and I flew down to Florida to surprise Mrs. Velazquez with a care package and donation to help her along her journey! We want our reach to go beyond Indiana. The pure joy and emotion that this gesture did was breath taking! She was beyond happy with the gifts and gave her hope knowing she had a whole brand/family in her corner! A year later, I am proud to announce that she is cancer free and living an amazing life as a survivor! God is good all the time! Keep Fighting Forward!

Project #3 Family 1st Awoods collection

On December 15th I received a call saying my sister had been found in her apartment unresponsive and that her liver was failing! So, I dropped everything and flew to Dallas, Texas to be by her side! Upon arriving seeing my sister hooked up to over a dozen machines and her not looking anything like herself! I broke down n thought I was going to lose my best friend! The doctor informed me that I would have to be her power of attorney and make some very important decisions since I was the only family there at the time! So, I dug deep and put on my big boy pants on to be the rock my family/sister needed! On Friday December 17th they put her on the transplant list. The average wait time for a new liver is 145 days and, in the condition, she was in time was not on her side! About 6 hours later we received a call saying they found her a new liver in exceptional condition!! The next morning, she went into surgery and received her new liver!! Once she was able to go home, I returned for another two weeks to be her in home nurse!! She is one of the strongest human beings I know who will literally give you the shirt off her back if needed! The support system that was by her side was unreal and it showed just how much of a good soul she is! The crazy part about it is she ate healthy, worked out consistently and took care of her body like you are suppose too! You never know what life will throw your way, but you will never be given something you’re not strong enough to withstand! We were given the best Christmas gift anyone can ask for and made our family closer/stronger! No matter what happens in life just keep pushing forward! Forward Never Backwards! After running into Mr. Robb at the gym we sparked up a conversation and realized I was his son’s high school basketball coach! After telling him a little about the brand he asked me to come speak to his students at his Hammond barber school location! After an amazing mindset workshop, he asked me to come on tour with him as a vendor and bring the energy as he tried to bring his late son’s vision to life! He wanted to give barbers a platform to showcase their skills and network! First, we went to South Bend, IN and then Indianapolis, IN! For the final stop we are coming back to the region for the finale! Come out and compete, witness, and be a part of this showcase! FNB will be there as a vendor, so come and shop with us! Portion of the process will go to sickle cell!
